Journalism Students Receive Four Campus News Awards

Our students received four awards in the 2017 Campus Newspaper contest, organized by China Daily Hong Kong Edition. The Chu Hai News secured two 1st runner-ups in the Chinese categories, namely, Best in News Reporting and Best in Headline Writing. CHC online took the second place in Best in News Video Reporting in the English categories and the third prize in Best in News Photo via online voting.

There were a total of 604 entries from 28 universities across the Greater China region for this year’s competition. The award presentation ceremony was held on 20 October, 2017 at Polytechnic University of Hong Kong. The guest of honour this year was Mr. Matthew Cheung Kin-Chung, Chief Secretary for Administration, HKSAR.
