Dozens of JCM students and teachers played a visit to South China Normal University (SCNU) on 27 November 2018. They attended two workshops organized by the School of Information Technology in Education.

The first workshop by Prof. Liu Jing, department head of the Journalism and Communication, titled: How New Technology impacts Journalism Education, in which he shared with us the implication of artificial intelligence and virtual reality on current journalism industry, their impacts and how journalists can make good use of technology in reporting.

The second workshop was conducted by Prof. Mu Su, department head of the Information Technology in Education. She introduced to us how information technology can be used to collect data and how it can impact policy making. She also elaborated the implications of information technology in various aspects at SCNU, including teaching and learning, and their school life.

Students and teachers also visited the television studio, VR studio and editing studio of the department of Journalism and Communication. They fully were impressed by the new e-learning classrooms during the campus tour.

The activity was organized by Chu Hai FOSS and was fully subsidized by our College.
