MA Students Attend CNN Bootcamp

One of the major features of the Master of Arts in Global Communication programme at Chu Hai College of Higher Education is the one-week Bootcamp, which is being held jointly by the Hong Kong Bureau of CNN and the Department of Journalism and Communication. The opening ceremony of the Bootcamp was held on Monday, June 13, 2022. Roger Clark, Vice President and Bureau Chief of CNN Hong Kong, introduced CNN’s daily routine and operations to the MA students. A number of students asked questions and expressed their opinions enthusiastically in the question-and-answer session.

 

On the second day of the Bootcamp, the students were given a tour of CNN’s newsroom and studio in Wong Chuk Hang on Hong Kong Island. This gave the students a better understanding of CNN’s daily operations. Just returning from Ukraine, the senior international correspondent for CNN Ivan Watson also shared his story with the visitors about covering the conflicts there.
