Students from the Department of Journalism and Communication and the Department of Chinese Literature of Hong Kong Chu Hai College visited Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou to take part in an AIGC digital music exchange activity.
The activity was led by Ms. Shirley Cheung, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Journalism and Communication. Undergraduate students Wang Yue, Huang Kaixin, and Zhang Xiwen from the Department of Journalism and Communication were responsible for the composition and lyrics, and then used Suno AI to complete the arrangement. They invited Bao Wubi Han, an undergraduate student from the Department of Chinese Literature, to serve as the lead vocalist and perform on stage together with students from Xinghai Conservatory of Music. The college’s high-standard original work and live performance received praise from Professor Chen Mingchi of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, marking the event as a fruitful outcome of this Guangdong–Hong Kong academic exchange.
