Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Criminology and Criminal Justice

The Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice is designed to provide you with the analytical skills and theoretical knowledge necessary to understand crime and its impacts on individuals and communities. Throughout the program, you will examine the nature of criminal behavior, the functioning of the criminal justice system, and the various factors that contribute to crime, such as social, economic, and cultural influences.

Understanding Crime: Explore the definitions and types of crime, theories of criminal behavior, and the social context of crime.
Criminal Justice System: Gain insights into the components of the criminal justice system, including law enforcement, the judiciary, and corrections.
Research Skills: Develop critical research and analytical skills to assess crime data and evaluate criminal justice policies.

DSE Entry

Students holding the HKDSE qualification should meet the entry requirements of

(1) level 3 in Chinese Language;

(2) level 3 in English Language;

(3) level 2 in Mathematics;

(4) Attained in Citizenship and Social Development; and

(5) level 2 in one elective subject.

For holders of international qualifications

Higher Diploma or Associate degree Entry

Accredited Associate Degree / Higher Diploma from local educational institutions for Senior Year Entry.

Equivalent qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Graduates of this program are well-equipped for a variety of careers in the criminal justice field, including roles in law enforcement, corrections, social services, and policy analysis.
